2024 LINE TOM WALLISCH PRO SKI
If you’re looking to get on a pro model ski that’ll take your park skiing to the next level, look no further than the 2024 Line Tom Wallisch Pro. This ski has all you need to get into serious and competitive park riding, as well as keeping the mountain open for a nimble and light ski that’ll take you further and higher than you ever thought possible on skis. Tom has been synonymous with creative and explosive park skiing for a number of years now, and when we think of his impact on the sport of skiing, it all makes sense that this’d be his ski. The blend of flex and power mirrors what he does extraordinarily well and provides everyday normal skier people the confidence and construction to take their skiing to the next level. Line does a fantastic job with all of their park skis and twin tips, and this is one of the best of the bunch. Any time you’re getting a pro-level athlete of Wallisch’s caliber to put their stamp on a ski, it might as well be this one.

Constructed just as Tom wants, with a blend of paulownia and aspen wood stringers, the TW Pro has an excellent blend of energy, light weight, and flex. The aspen does a great job at keeping this quiet and smooth while the paulownia is surprisingly stiff for how light it is. This mix of woods creates a smooth and lively feel to the ski, which is just what we’re looking for in the park world. In addition, Line uses their Carbon Ollie band to boost the pop through the ski. By using these carbon stringers, Line makes the ski available for energetic groundwork as well as snappy energy when carving off of lips and jumps. Since the ski is available in a range of sizes going from 157 to 178, there’s an option here for tweeners as well as competitive adult park skiers. This adds to the overall versatility and reach of this ski. At 1800 grams per ski in the 178, it’s light but not too light, giving the ski much needed stability for huge airs and high speeds.

With a middle-ground shape of 118/90/116 mm, the TW Pro is ideally proportioned to Tom’s liking. For pure park skiing, this seems to be the sweet spot these days, and while you could make the argument that symmetrical is better, it’s tough to go against what Tom wants for his own ski. As such, the 2 mm drop from tip to tail is more about a slight directional sense versus true symmetry. Tom must want it that way, so we guess we’ll give it to him. The profile is a bit more symmetrical, with slightly more rocker than camber, but it’s even either way, allowing for a smoother and cleaner overall performance range. There’s some early taper here to complement the rocker and add to the buttery feel of the ski. The blend of shape and profile makes a lot of sense for modern freestyle skiing for sure.
Tom Wallisch is a great representative when it comes to clean, technical lines through the park and on the rails. He’s great in the air and his dedication to making things look easy is second to none. The fact that he has a pro model with Line makes a whole lot of sense, allowing his creativity and knowledge of the ski world come to fruition in a fun-loving and high-performance park ski. The TW Pro is one of the best competition skis on the market today, with a high level of influence and performance.
