2025 NORDICA WILD BELLE 78 CA WOMEN'S SKI W TP2 COMPACT 10 BINDING
The 2024 Nordica Wild Belle 78CA is an awesome ski for intermediate through advanced skiers who spend most of their time in an on-trail format but also want to leave a bit of wiggle room for off-trail adventure. While nobody’s going to be selling this as a powder ski, it’s certainly aligned more with the front side of the mountain. This is a good thing, especially since most of us spend most of our time on groomed and smooth trails. With added edge grip and a fun-loving weight and flex, the Wild Belle 78CA uses a proven shape and build to access strong yet friendly performance. There’s a wonderful energy in this ski, allowing it to be poppy and playful while also adhering to the necessary stability for hitting higher speeds and skiing more aggressively.

The ski is built with a light performance wood core with a full sidewall, so this ski does mean business, especially from an edge grip standpoint. We also get carbon stringers that run tip to tail in the ski, providing pop and stiffness to make the ski give great feedback in and out of the turns. When you let it run, the wood and carbon combine to create a wonderful tip to tail energy that is very satisfying for intermediate and advanced skiers. It’s not hard to access, mainly because of the lighter weight and maneuverable nature. This opens up the ski to a variety of skiers and skier types—especially those that are looking to progress in a carved turn format. In addition, the ski is able to flex more naturally due to the shorter mount of the binding plate. This especially comes in handy with the shorter lengths, as that plate can sometimes impinge upon the ski’s preferred stiffness.

At 78 mm underfoot, the ski definitely has the width to access some all-mountain versatility while not sacrificing edge control and carving prowess. The light weight combines with this friendlier shape to create that well-rounded nature, and we think this is a great place to be for the majority of skiers, most of the time. The 156 produces a 12.8-meter turn radius, which is on the short side, but the flex allows skiers to break free from this arc either shorter or longer. Nordica is claiming a 10% tip rocker and 5% tail rocker profile, but for most purposes, this is a fully cambered ski that has a long effective edge and running length. The more time the ski and edge is spent on the snow, the smoother the overall feel. This works great with the Wild Belle 78CA, putting it into a nice category when it comes to initiating and completing linked carved turns.
This ski hits a big range of skiers right down the middle. From progressing beginners looking for a ski in which to grow, all the way through the advanced level carver who’s looking for a lighter ski to really perfect that purely carved turn. All of these skiers, and those in between, will love the agility, edge grip, and high-end build quality of the 2024 Nordica Wild Belle 78CA.This is one of those skis that just hits down the middle each and every time, doing so with the poise and precision of a much more expensive ski.
