The Line Vision 118 skis are the widest in the Vision collection and are designed to keep you floating, surfing, buttering and jibbing your way through the deep stuff with an impressively light yet stable construction. As its name might indicate, a 118-millimeter waist is plenty of ski to keep you on top of even the deepest snow, but in a lot of cases, a large chassis like this typically comes with a lot of added weight. The Vision 118 is built with a wood core and Line’s THC Construction. THC stands for Triple Hybrid Construction wherein three different composite materials are used to add vibration damping and stability to the ski without adding the weight of metal laminate. As a result, the Vision 118 remains light for its size and stable despite the lack of a robust metal laminates. Outside of its construction we see design features consistent with any other good powder ski Tip and tail rocker offer effortless maneuverability in deep snow. The same goes for the early taper in the tip and tail. The ski’s construction in combination with its shape make skiing deep snow just purely a treat and let you whip your skis around like there’s nothing on your feet. By the same token, the Vision 118 works just as well inside the ropes as it does out on the skin track, so whether you prefer lift accessed terrain or lines that take a bit more work to get to, the Line Vision 118 is a powder ski you don’t want to find yourself without on a deep day.
