DESCRIPTION

The 2026 Black Crows Mirus Cor with Salomon Strive 14 GW Bindings brings a whole new level of expression to frontside skiing. By fusing the wild energy of freestyle with the clean precision of carving, this ski breaks the mold for what a carving ski can be. If you're the type of skier who thrives on creativity and thrives even more on edge, this purpose-built ski delivers a truly original experience. We paired the Mirus Cor with the Strive 14 because of this binding’s well known reputation for safety, reliability, and ease of use. Featuring an LDN toe piece that optimizes contact and response, these bindings integrate seamlessly with boots and skis, allowing for a natural flex and balanced stance, making them the perfect choice to pair with this ski.

Why we like it:

It’s rare to find a ski that feels as bold in design as it does on snow, but the Mirus Cor does exactly that. Carving becomes playful, dynamic, and straight-up fun—sometimes even laugh-out-loud funny. Its wild geometry and unique swallowtail design invite you to rethink how you draw lines on groomers, turning each run into a creative session rather than just another lap.

Who it's for:

This isn’t your standard all-mountain cruiser. The Mirus Cor is for advanced to expert skiers who already have a diverse quiver and are ready to add something eccentric yet razor sharp. It’s ideal for those who view skiing as an art form and want a ski that carves like nothing else out there. If you’re looking for a jack-of-all-trades, keep looking—this one’s built for the specialists.

Highlights:

With a poplar wood core supported by fiberglass laminates and a titanal plate underfoot, the Mirus Cor leans toward energy and rebound over sheer power and edge hold. Its moderate flex, generous rocker, and aggressive sidecut allow for creative, lower-speed carving and spontaneous turns, all while maintaining a playful, accessible feel. And that signature swallowtail? It makes turn exits forgiving and smooth, blending precision and fun in a way few skis can. The Strive 14 GW, with its lightweight build and low-profile chassis, delivers a smooth and responsive ride all day long. It remains nimble in deep snow and light on your feet as the day progresses. The LDN Toe Pieces offer a low stand height, optimizing power transfer and improving the connection to your skis. The Automatic Toe Adaption feature effortlessly adjusts to GripWalk boots without the need for manual adjustments. Additionally, the Snow Scrapers on the toe pieces effectively remove snow and ice, ensuring a secure fit that enhances both safety and performance for direct power transmission

Things to consider:

This is a ski with a very specific mission—creative carving at moderate speeds. It doesn’t shine on firm snow or at high speeds, and it’s not interested in being your one-ski quiver. But if you want a specialized tool to reinvent how you carve, the Mirus Cor is ready to deliver.

Fit & sizing considerations:

These skis run true to size, but due to the short turn radius and carving focus, skiers between sizes often opt to size down slightly for quicker edge-to-edge transitions and more control.

Size Impression
just right. I usually ski skis in the mid to upper 170's and this one is no different. If anything size up, this ski is mounted onlyu -3.5cm from the center so there tends to not be that much tip infront of you

Thoughts
Groomers. It's got a short (13M) radius and a pretty central mounting point. It wants you to get the ski out from under you and make lots of turns. You don't have to drive the tip super hard, just stand on it and start making turns. Loves to be skied forwards and backwards.
Nothing. It's unique. It should stay that way.
Overal Impression
Like someone wrapped fun incarnate in orange and put metal edges on it. As long as its not rock hard ice this ski loves to make a lot of turns at medium speed but will allow you to cover some ground without forcing you into another turn.
