2025 Faction Prodigy 2 Skiswith Salomon Strive 14 GW Bindings

The 2025 Faction Prodigy 2 with Salomon Strive 14 GW Bindings is a robust all-mountain ski setup that combines playful energy with substantial power and stability. As the wider counterpart to the Prodigy 1, the Prodigy 2 delivers the same versatility and fun in a more directional design, making it ideal for skiers who want to conquer everything from the park to powder and beyond. We paired the Prodigy 2 with the Strive 14 because of this binding’s well known reputation for safety, reliability, and ease of use. Featuring an LDN toe piece that optimizes contact and response, these bindings integrate seamlessly with boots and skis, allowing for a natural flex and balanced stance, making them the perfect choice to pair with this ski.

Why we like it:

The Prodigy 2 offers impressive strength and responsiveness when pushing hard while remaining playful and agile at slower speeds.

Who it's for:

Intermediate to expert skiers seeking a playful, all-mountain ski with the flexibility to dive into the park will find the Prodigy 2 to be a great fit.

Highlights:

With a 98 mm waist width, the Prodigy 2 strikes a perfect balance for all-mountain versatility. Its extra-thick Poplar wood core provides a stiff, stable feel underfoot for firm snow grip, while the softer tips and tails ensure playful, surfy performance in softer conditions. The combination of ample camber and rocker allows for dynamic popping, carving, and buttering. Additionally, the carbon and rubber stomp pad and robust 2.5 mm edges ensure durability and resilience through tough landings and repeated use. The Strive 14 GW, with its lightweight build and low-profile chassis, delivers a smooth and responsive ride all day long. It remains nimble in deep snow and light on your feet as the day progresses. The LDN Toe Pieces offer a low stand height, optimizing power transfer and improving the connection to your skis. The Automatic Toe Adaption feature effortlessly adjusts to GripWalk boots without the need for manual adjustments. Additionally, the Snow Scrapers on the toe pieces effectively remove snow and ice, ensuring a secure fit that enhances both safety and performance for direct power transmission

Things to consider:

While the Prodigy 2 excels as an all-mountain ski with park features, skiers who do not engage with park terrain may not fully utilize its park-oriented design.
