The Extravision is a new all-mountain women’s board from K2’s line up. This versatile board covers a wide variety of terrain and is a great one quiver board to handle whatever mother nature can throw at you. Whether you are riding in the park, groomers, or exploring the back country this board has got you covered.
Why we like it:
The Extravision is the Swiss army knife of snowboards, this board covers a wide variety of terrain and conditions. Built with enough tip rocker to give you good float in deep snow and the camber to give you spring loaded energy to charge down the mountain and launch off jumps. This board is no slouch in the trees either, providing superior maneuverability for even the tightest situations. Added carbon stringers give this board great stability and edge hold on groomers as well.
Who it's for:
The Extravision is ideal for Intermediate to advanced riders who are looking for one board to do everything. A twin flex makes it a great option for the park and the camber under foot gives it extra energy to launch bigger ollies. The added tip rocker provides great float in deep snow and allows for easier turn initiation when you need it.
Highlights:
The Rhythm™ Core on the Extravision uses aspen under foot for added stability and paulownia in the tip and tail to reduce the wing weight making for a more maneuverable and lightweight board. The ICG™ 10 Biax Carbon Fiberglass integrates 20 carbon stringers into the fiberglass laminate giving you better control and a more responsive ride and the Sintered 4000 base absorbs and holds wax better.
Things to consider:
Although the moderate flex on the Extravision is approachable for most riders, entry level rider may want a softer more forgiving flex and a more expert level rider may want a stiffer more responsive option. The added tip rocker helps with floatation in deep snow but if you are looking for a powder specific board then there are better options with more taper. The camber profile also makes it easier to catch an edge and fall if you are just starting out.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The Extravision rides true to size but can be sized up for more stability at speed.
