The 2025 K2 Mindbender 89Ti is an all-mountain freeride ski with a heavy emphasis on carving performance. Precise, predictable, and smooth turn initiation with a strong feel underfoot and powerful turn release make the 89Ti a fierce carver on the firmest of snow. With a slash of freeride influence in terms of its shaping, these skis are not limited to only carving as they are easy to maneuver and quick to react in fresh snow.

Highlights:

K2’s Aspen Micro Block core uses small stringers of aspen to provide composure and stability as well as forgiving flex pattern for a well-balanced feel in deep snow. Ti Y-Beam laminates are placed directly over the edges in the forebody of the ski for maximum edge grip and power transfer. In the tails, the metal is pulled to the central portion of the ski for consistent and predictable turn release in softer snow. Bio-Resin adhesives used to hold the ski together is a green approach to construction to lessen the footprint of production.

Things to consider:

Although the Mindbender 89Ti is carving focused ski with some all-mountains freeride capabilities. So, if you are looking for either extreme of this, there are better options out there. In other words, if you are looking for a dedicated carving ski, there are better options out there. Then if you are looking for a freeride ski, there are other skis out there that will be more playful and surfier. However, if you seek a ski that can do both of those things to a high level, the 89Ti is a great balance and will accomplish both styles with ease.
