The Salomon Abstract is a high-performance unisex true twin that excels in the park and on trail. The full camber profile gives this board plenty of pop and edge hold without sacrificing maneuverability. It's great for railing high speed turns on groomers or sending it off giant booters in the park and the twin shape and the centered stance makes it just as easy to do all that switch.

Why we like it:

Park performance is a standout for the Abstract. The combination of rocker, camber and flat profile between the mount points gives this board excellent spring-loaded pop to help not only with ollies but also gives this board plenty of stability and edge hold at speed. The true twin shape with zero taper makes it comfortable to ride switch or regular.

Who it's for:

The Salomon Abstract is ideal for progressing beginners all the way up to your more advanced park riders. Although this is geared towards riding the park, it is still a great option for carving down icy east coast groomers.

Highlights:

The Popstar core underfoot gives this board explosive pop which makes for bigger airs and a more stable landing. Carbon Beams in the core give this board added edge hold and help dampen vibrations through your cruddier conditions. A Quadralizer Sidecut distributes pressure more evenly making it more maneuverable and easier to turn over on edge.

Things to consider:

The True twin shape can lack some flotation in deeper snow, but stance can be set back to help with that. The camber profile makes it a little easier to catch an edge and if you are looking for a surfier feel then there are better options out there, but what it lacks in surfability it makes up for with stability and edge hold.

Fit & sizing considerations:

With only about 17 cm of rocker in the nose and tail this board rides pretty true to size and comes in a wide variety of lengths from 138 cm all the way up to a 162 cm.
