DESCRIPTION

The revamped Volkl Blaze 106 W returns as the Blaze 104 W for 2025, paired with a Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW Bindings and featuring a redesigned shape and profile that enhance its playful and lightweight nature. Whether you're venturing into the backcountry or sticking to the resort, the Blaze 104 excels in both environments. Its feather-light construction ensures effortless uphill efficiency, while the combination of wood and Titanal provides agility for reliable downhill and resort performance. We paired the 104 W with the Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW because of the Attack’s light weight and reliability for all mountain and freeride skiers. Thanks to a 15% reduction in weight, the Attack LYT 11 is the perfect binding option for lighter weight freeriders, and keeps this setup on the lighter side without sacrificing power or performance.

Why we like it:

The Blaze 104 is a versatile ski that shines in various conditions, making it an excellent choice for those who are always on the lookout for deeper snow.

Who it's for:

Advancing intermediates will enjoy the Blaze 104, but advanced and expert skiers will fully appreciate its performance capabilities.

Highlights:

For 2025, Volkl has updated the Blaze 106W to the Blaze 104W with a revised shape, waist width, and profile, offering greater versatility while requiring less skier input. The new 4 Radius Drive replaces the previous 3D Radius, providing a wider range of turn shapes and enhancing the ski’s nimbleness. A Titanal binding plate underfoot improves power and energy transfer on firm snow, while the Suspension Tips contribute to a floaty feel in soft snow. Fine-tuned for 2026, the Attack LYT 11 is designed to bring the ideal level of safety and performance to skiers looking for a light weight binding for a wide-bodied all-mountain or freeride ski. The new FR LYT Toe is 15% lighter, and offers a sliding AFD for precise and reliable release as well as plenty of elastic travel. Tyrolia’s SX FR Heel is easy to step into, offering an intuitive and frustration-free experience whether you’re stepping into your skis to start your day, or cleaning up from a pow day yardsale.

Things to consider:

With a waist width of 104 mm, the Blaze 104 is the widest in the lineup and may not be the best option for skiers who primarily stick to groomed trails.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Blaze 104 skis true to size.
