2025 Volkl Mantra 108 Skiswith Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings

The 2025 Volkl Mantra 108 with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings is a powerhouse of a setup designed to conquer any terrain it encounters. Its robust build and formidable strength allow it to handle a wide range of snow conditions and speeds with ease. Primarily geared towards big mountain lines at high speeds, the 108 stands out for its versatility and durability. On the right mountain and under the right conditions, it's hard to find a better choice. We paired the 108 with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.

Why we like it:

The Mantra 108's impressive power and solid construction make it exceptionally suited for a variety of off-piste conditions. We love its precision and uncompromising performance.

Who it's for:

This ski is ideal for advanced to expert directional freeride skiers who require uncompromised stability at high speeds. Those with a more playful skiing style might not find the Mantra 108 as accommodating.

Highlights:

Volkl’s 3D Radius sidecut offers specific sidecuts in the tip, underfoot area, and tail, allowing for three different turn radii depending on the part of the ski that’s being engaged. The Tailored Titanal Frame includes a full sheet of titanal beneath the core and a segmented frame above, allowing for a tailored flex pattern and exceptional edge grip while still maintaining some forgiveness for a more intuitive ride. With a low stand height of just 17 millimeters, the 2027 Tyrolia Attack 14 offers an impressively close connection to the snow, delivering precise power transmission and a confident, locked-in feel. The FR Pro3 toe piece allows for a full 180 degrees of boot release, enhancing safety in a variety of fall scenarios, while the AFS (Anti-Friction Slider) ensures reliable re-centering and consistent release characteristics. Built to withstand hard use, the Attack 14 combines durability with performance, making it a go-to option for aggressive skiers who demand trust in their gear.

Things to consider:

The Mantra 108 is highly specialized, making it less versatile and more suited to specific applications and skier types.

Fit & sizing considerations:

These skis are true to size. If you appreciate a robust build with a wide platform but have concerns about maneuverability, consider sizing down slightly.
