2026 Rossignol Experience 82 Basalt Skiswith Atomic Hawx Magna 100 Boots and Poles

Ease of use anchors the Rossignol Experience 82 Basalt, a frontside all-mountain ski built for smooth carving and predictable control. An 82 mm waist keeps it quick on trail while adding stability when conditions turn variable, and the flex stays approachable rather than demanding. Progressing skiers get reliable performance on groomers with enough range to explore beyond them. We paired the Experience 82 Basalt with the Atomic Hawx Magna 100 Ski Boots because it’s a fantastic choice for skiers who want strong all-mountain performance in a more accommodating, high-volume fit. The 100 flex delivers a supportive platform that helps drive skis with confidence, while the Magna shape offers extra space for comfort—especially for wider feet or skiers who prioritize warmth and circulation. It’s a great pairing for intermediate-to-advanced skiers looking for control and stability without the tight feel of a narrow performance boot.

Who it's for:

Progressing skiers who want reliable performance on groomers with room to explore beyond them. It suits intermediates who are building technique and want a ski that supports rather than tests them.

Things to consider:

Being tuned for ease means a strong skier will overpower it, and the stiffer Experience models are the better answer there. Its narrower waist also limits soft-snow performance compared with the wider skis in the range.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Sizing to the skier's height gives the best balance of grip and manageability. A developing skier who is still working on finishing turns can size down slightly, since a shorter ski releases more easily at the end of an arc.
