2027 K2 Mindbender 96 Women's Skiswith Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW Bindings

The 2027 K2 Mindbender 96 W with Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW Bindings is a women's all-mountain ski that takes morning corduroy through afternoon chop in stride. Its mid-width waist suits skiers who do not want to choose between a carver and a powder ski, and K2's Stance Forward design gives the geometry a fundamentally women's-specific starting point. We paired the Mindbender 96 with the Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW because of the Attack’s light weight and reliability for all mountain and freeride skiers. Thanks to a 15% reduction in weight, the Attack LYT 11 is the perfect binding option for lighter weight freeriders, and keeps this setup on the lighter side without sacrificing power or performance.

Why we like it:

Between the Aspen Paulownia core, the targeted mass of Dark Matter, and the centered titanal strip, K2 landed on a ski that feels light underfoot but tracks like something heavier.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert women skiers after an everyday all-mountain ski. Those who prefer a single quiver-of-one over rotating between specialized skis will get the most from this width and construction.

Highlights:

Dark Matter inserts sit near the tips and tails for sharper edge engagement on firm snow. The Aspen Paulownia core blends strength and lightness, and the Titanal I-Beam adds metal damping along the center without the dead feel of full metal sheets. Where the 96 W parts ways with the men's build is Stance Forward, adapting its shape and flex to women's bodies rather than shrinking a unisex shape. Its All Terrain Rocker shape leans on tip rise for float and camber for grip, and a 96 mm waist keeps the ski versatile and quick underfoot. Fine-tuned for 2027, the Attack LYT 11 is designed to bring the ideal level of safety and performance to skiers looking for a light weight binding for a wide-bodied all-mountain or freeride ski. The new FR LYT Toe is 15% lighter, and offers a sliding AFD for precise and reliable release as well as plenty of elastic travel. Tyrolia’s SX FR Heel is easy to step into, offering an intuitive and frustration-free experience whether you’re stepping into your skis to start your day, or cleaning up from a pow day yardsale.

Things to consider:

The new shape and rocker feel surfier than older women's Mindbenders at this width, which is mostly a plus but takes some adjustment if you preferred the locked-in older version.

Fit & sizing considerations:

No surprises in the sizing here; ride the length you usually do, leaning longer for soft-snow stability and shorter for snappier carves.
