2027 Kastle Transcend Alpha Junior Skiswith SpeedMachine J Boots and Poles

Kids who play across the whole mountain finally have a Kastle built for that style in the Transcend Alpha Junior. A twin rocker profile, a lightweight wood and synthetic core, and full cap construction deliver a real-deal freeride feel in a package small skiers can actually maneuver. The payoff is a junior ski that encourages exploring rather than staying on the marked run. We paired the Transcend Alpha with the Nordica Speed Machine Jr Boy’s ski boot because it provides young skiers with a solid blend of comfort, support, ad performance which with these skis will propel the development of their skills. Tailored for junior skiers who are progressing quickly, the Speed Machine Jr offers a secure fit with reliable performance no matter the terrain or snow conditions.

Who it's for:

Young all-mountain skiers who treat the whole resort as the playground, from side hits to the mini park. It suits adventurous intermediates who want a freeride feel in a size they can handle.

Things to consider:

The freeride lean means it isn't the sharpest tool for a young racer working on carving, and a child focused on gates should be on a piste-specific ski. The playful profile also takes some getting used to for a skier coming off a stiff, straight beginner ski.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Match the length to the skier's confidence in the terrain they actually ski rather than their height alone, since twin rockered skis feel shorter underfoot than they measure. Kids skiing trees and features benefit from staying at the shorter end of their bracket.
