The 2023 K2 Midnight is a fantastic choice for skiers who spend most of their time in the park, but who also want something that excels in an all-mountain format as well. These skis can do it all, and this is a great way of building a ski, as it crosses borders and blurs lines in between what a park ski and an all-mountain ski can do. Built with an Aspen wood core, these skis are light and energetic at the same time. K2 adds carbon stringers to the mix to stiffen the flex, and this allows the skier to really access the full potential of the ski and makes it ideal for all-mountain skiers who do a lot of their work in the park.

Twin tips are just a whole lot of fun. Thanks to their ability to go both forward and backward, skiers get benefits in both the park and all-mountain settings. In the park, the obvious advantage is their ability to take off and land switch. By widening the scope of what's possible on the mountain, the K2 Midnight opens up all sorts of possibilities in the freestyle world, and with progression going the rate it is, it makes a lot of sense for a ski to be able to go both ways. In an all-mountain format, the twin tip is useful and fun, especially in the woods. I've gotten out of countless sticky spots in the trees here in Vermont, simply because I could back out. In addition, if you ever get going too fast, you can throw them sideways, and even up the hill to scrub speed and get back to your intended line.
At 88 mm underfoot, it's hard to discount these skis as pure and true all-mountain performers as well as having that park shape and build. With beefier sidewalls and edges, the park toughness is unmistakable, and when you pick them up, it makes a lot of sense as to how strong and stable they are. While flexible, they're still a bit stiffer than you'd expect, allowing for that strong and stable performance whether you're boosting off a 60-footer or wiggling your way through the tightest bump line on the mountain. All-mountain and freestyle versatility is the name of the game when it comes to the 2023 K2 Midnight.
It's hard to overstate how useful these skis are. Thanks to the shape, construction, and profile, the 2023 K2 Midnight is a twin tip park ski masquerading as an all-mountain ripper. Or, it can be a true all-mountain ski that loves to be used in the park and pipe. Either way you wish to label it, it just makes a whole lot of sense for a ton of skiers. Available in sizes 149, 159, and 169, it's great for that tweener skier or a full-on adult who's looking to have some serious fun out there on the hill.
