Armada has made some tweaks to the super-popular ARV 94 for 2025, and we’re all on board for this. The Armada ARV 94 has served very well as a light, energetic, and poppy freestyle ski with some all-mountain chops, but now it gets a bit of a boost in the sturdiness department. This ski is an ideal choice for those who are freestyle-focused, but don’t want to just leave it all in the park. There’s a whole mountain to explore out there, after all, and you need a good ski to get you there. Mainly, something in the mid-90's with a twin tip and a wood core is a no-brainer, and that’s totally the case with the 2025 Armada ARV 94. This ski not only rips the corduroy and crushes bumps, it’s also nimble and agile in the trees. And that’s all without even stepping foot in the park, where this ski truly comes to life. If you’re a creative and playful skier looking for a do-it-all ski for a wide variety of conditions and terrain, this is your jam.

By swapping the caruba out for poplar, Armada gives the ARV 94 a bit better of a connection to the snow and more power in a carved turn. In addition, this slightly denser and stronger wood will hold up better to romping around the park and hitting jumps and rails. We still get an ash insert underfoot, as this promotes binding retention and stability. Armada is still using their remarkable W3degwall technology that incorporates the sidewall material into the core of the ski in the build's pressing phase. This makes for a more cohesive feel and adds some strength to the ski upon impacts. In addition, Armada uses their thicker 2.5mm impact edges to boost the ski’s durability when it comes to rails and boxes. We’ve found that this build not only makes the ARV 94 a better carver with more stability at speed, but it also adds to the overall strength from a park perspective. Armada notes a 1650 weight per ski in the 178, but it feels more substantial than that.

The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 Armada ARV 94

From last year to next, the shape and profile of the ARV 94 remain the same. We still get a nearly symmetrical shape, with measurements of 123/94/118 in the 178 resulting in a 17-meter turn radius. Due to the taper shape, we’re seeing that arc shorten up a bit, much to the delight of active and fun-loving skiers all over the world. The taper helps in a variety of ways. In softer snow, it smooths out the bumps and chunks to keep the ski on its intended line. In the park, this taper helps with a catch-free feel on takeoffs and landings, whether forward or switch. The twin tip is totally useful for the park, pipe, woods, and bumps, making this 94 an incredibly versatile shape for playful and adventurous skiers. If you’re on the creative side of the spectrum, you’ll love how this ski blends the poppy and playful with the business and the sturdy.

Super easy to ski, very playful, loves to play in the park, loves side hits, loves skiing switch. It's a hoot.

For the most part, skiers interested in the Armada ARV 94 will have a skillset under their feet as this ski appeals to a more accomplished skier. The best part is that you’re not beholden to that level—rather the ARV 94 is a very approachable and fun-loving ski, so if you’re a progressing intermediate looking for a first foray into the twin tip world, the ARV 94 will be a great introduction. They’re easy to turn, but that doesn’t limit their capabilities—these skis can rip on the feet of the most dedicated and aggressive skiers.

Thoughts
this is a great freestyle/Park ski that can transition to a few inches of powder as well
I would make it a little stiffer for all mountain skiing
Overal Impression
Testing in powder and felt the flute was good for 94 underfoot
