Fear not Ranger fans, Fischer is bringing back the highly successful, widely appealing line for the 2025 season with the same great build but with brand new colorways. With four different width options, each with their own application, the Ranger 90 W fits the bill for ladies looking for solid on-trail performance with an ideal blend of versatile usefulness. The 90s waist width is the perfect place to be for a variety of snow conditions and terrain, and when you factor in the all-mountain shape and sturdy build, this ski makes a lot of sense for strong skiers looking to carve with intention and explore with creativity. With plenty of soft snow characteristics, as one of the narrower of the family, it performs well on groomers, bumps and tight terrain.

With a refined build that maximizes performance, this ski delivers impressive power and strength while remaining ideally maneuverable. Built with a poplar wood core, the foundation starts off with great energy and lightweight agility. That said, it does a great job providing stability as well, giving the ski a lovely sense of balance as well. Amplifying the degree of power, Fischer adds their Shaped Ti 0.5 mm metal laminate, which extends further into the tips and tails than in the wider models to create more of an on-trail character. Full width underfoot, the metal follows the sides of the ski through the front, providing exceptional edge grip along the entire effective edge. With their Flex-Cut technology, v-shaped cut outs are removed from the edge to the middle underfoot in order to provide better flexion, giving it an incredibly intuitive feel. Weighing in at 1750 grams in the 170 cm length, it's certainly hefty enough to provide dampness while remaining light enough for ease of use and maneuverability. Tester Micheline Lemay enjoyed her time on the Ranger 90 W and found that it “performed well in a plethora of conditions.” This highlights its level of versatility yet again, proving its wide range of capabilities.
The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 Fischer Ranger 90 WFor the shape, 90 mm underfoot makes for an incredibly useful waist width, one that performs well in a carving capacity as well as off-piste. Bookended by a 124 mm tip and 114 mm tail, it generates a 16-meter turn radius in the 170 cm length, which is a mid-range shape that is great for switching it up from tight on-trail carves to open softer snow smears. Leaning into the freeride realm, the rocker profile and taper shape give it the creativity and playful nature ideal for off-trail maneuvers. Mixing both float and grip, the Ranger 90 W truly handles it all with confidence and reliability. When it comes to a daily driver, a highly intuitive, useful ski like this is a phenomenal choice.
A fun-loving freeride ski with a respectable build and high-performance ceiling, the Fischer Ranger 90 W carves exceptionally well for its width while delivering strength in its versatility. With wider, more soft-snow oriented options within the Ranger family, those looking for a ski to do it all will find this one excels in all capacities.
