The same great ski we’ve known and loved, the K2 Mindbender 89 Ti is back unchanged but with new graphics, ready to deliver competitive performance in a high-quality build. Blending frontside and all-mountain capabilities, K2 nailed it with this ski as far as power and performance, making it easy to turn, responsive, and sturdy as ever. It loves to be on edge, carving with determination and strength while remaining light enough to take into the bumps and trees. For advanced to expert skiers who enjoy ripping up the groomer but don’t want to be limited to that, the refined build, shorter turn radius and fun-loving demeanor puts this ski into a unique category amidst the Mindbender family.

From a construction standpoint, the overall character of the ski comes from the sophisticated build. Highlighting precision and responsiveness, K2 brings in their Titanal Y-Beam technology, which provides ample power in the front of the ski rather than the back. While some skis feature a stiffer tail, we see the opposite here and it shows in the performance. With more metal extending to the edges in the forebody of the ski and tapering to the middle in the back, it allows you to really put pressure and drive the front of the ski, getting lots of initiation power and engagement in a turn. With the metal starting closer to the mid-point, this gives it a slightly friendlier feel and less chattery. Paired with an aspen wood core, contributing great energy and agility, and full sidewalls, though substantial, its balanced out by as lightweight feel.

The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 K2 Mindbender 89Ti W

What gives this ski such a rewarding feel is the short turn radius. In the 164 cm length, it generates a 13.1-meter radius, which aligns better with more of a frontside ski than all-mountain. This ski loves to rip short carved turns at all speeds. The inclusion of metal is great in that it does allow you to let it run a bit, providing lots of versatility with the turn shapes and styles. Having the option to do a bit of everything is awesome and this ski certainly allows that. While it's not a standout feature, we do see slight rocker in the tip, which aligns well with the placement of metal, giving this ski a nice level of playfulness. It doesn’t always have to be full business mode, but when you activate this ski how it wants to, it will deliver without throwing you off your rocker.

While the Mindbender 99 Ti W lays down the law, the 89Ti W blends seriousness with fun in a harmonious way that leaves the door open for mixed performance. Whether you’re looking to rip powerful turns on the groomer or skip through softer snow, bumps and trees; this ski has it all. Blending a sturdy feel with an agile personality and tons of precision, the Mindbender 89 Ti W will suit the needs of many advanced level skiers.
