Light, agile, and snappy, the 2026 Atomic Maven 88 CTi is a short turner that loves to be used in technical terrain. For all-mountain skiing in a variety of conditions, this Maven 88 CTi can hold up to quite a bit of use. While it’s not terribly aggressive, it’s very predictable and a whole lot of fun. It’s one of the better bump skis on planet Earth at the moment, bringing a swively feel and a supportive tail. You can drive the tip into a groomed carved turn and get a ton of pep out of the back end. The mid-section is predictable and powerful while the tail is very zippy and energetic. For all-mountain skiers looking for a natural-feeling all-mountain ski for mixing terrain and snow conditions, this is a great ski and place to be.

Built with a wood core consisting of poplar and ash, these skis allow for power like a race ski and light weight like a modern freeride ski. Ash is normally used in race skis and provides upper end stability and smoothness at higher speeds. The poplar wood keeps it mobile and contributes to the floaty nature of the ski alongside the HRZN Tech in the tips which boosts flotation and agility. In the 165 cm length, the skis sit on the scale at a stated weight of 1450 g/ski which is pretty darn light. Colleen Shepard notes: “Loved the ski. Maneuverability and quick easy handling. Fun to play in the corn conditions.”

The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2026 Atomic Maven 88 CTI

With measurements of 119/87/104 in the 159 cm length, the skis generate a 15-meter turn radius which is very agile and shifty. The harder part is finding the top end of the long turn capacity as these skis certainly have a preference for shorter and quicker turns, whether carved or skidded. Atomic states a 15% tip and 10% tail rocker profile so they remain on the flatter side which is great for all-mountain versatility. The bigger story here is the more dramatic taper shape, giving the ski excellent flotation for the width. When that taper is combined with HRZN Tech, this is an amazing soft snow ski and works super in bumps and tighter trees. All three testers who we have feedback from at the time of publication gage these skis 10’s out of 10 for quickness, maneuverability, and playfulness. There are many high scores here, but six 10’s for two categories for three testers is very impressive.

Loved the ski.

Many skiers who like to mix up turn shape and style will like the quickness and agility of the Maven 88 CTi. They have a wonderful sense of short turns and technical zones that make a lot of skiers very happy. Thanks to the blend of carbon and metal in these skis, in addition to the taper, these Maven 88 CTi’s have a lot of usefulness for skiers looking to explore and have fun.
