The 2026 K2 Omen 85 is a sweet stepping-stone freestyle ski for active and energetic skiers who are looking to progress in the park. Additionally, you don’t want to miss out on all-mountain skiing, as these 85’s work great in bumps and trees and actually do just fine on groomers. These are sweet tweener freestyle skis that use a durable and proven construction to deliver fantastic freestyle performance for dynamic skiers. Built with a twin tip shape and mid-80's footprint, these are highly useful skis that are constructed to withstand the rigors of modern slopestyle skiing.

Built with K2’s Aspen wood core, these skis are light and energetic. K2 adds carbon braided into the core’s fiberglass laminates, to there’s a good sense of stiffness and response here. In addition, K2’s Bio Resin lowers the carbon footprint by using an eco-friendlier adhesive in the glass laminates. These skis are offered in sizes ranging from 139 to 169cm, breaking every 10. This somewhat limits the scope of the audience, especially if you’re looking for a longer ski. In that case, the Omen 90 has more offerings at the taller end of the spectrum. Adding to the durability, K2 uses a tough topsheet and a duracap construction that reduces chipping and peeling.
The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2026 K2 Omen 85From a shape and profile perspective, the K2 Omen 85 is definitely a twin tip with a relatively symmetrical profile. We get measurements of 111/86/106 in the 159 cm length which produce a 16-meter turn radius. When skis go up and down somewhat drastically in length breaks, as the Omen 85 does, we do get vast differences in turn radius per length. Take note if you are getting the 139—these will have a shorter radius than 16 for sure. With a 5 mm taper drop from tip to tail, skiers are getting a balanced ski that will work great in the air and on the rails.
If you’re an emerging park skier looking for a well-built, real-deal ski, the K2 Omen 85 is a great option. While limited in sizing, the skis more than make up for it in durability, style, and symmetry. You don’t have to be a slopestyle skier to use an Omen 85, but if you do decide to go the freestyle route, this ski will be with you from start to finish. It’s nice to have a product that handles the growth of a skier and provides confident performance and a well-rounded feel.
