The 2026 Rossignol Nova 14 is a crisp and fun all-mountain carver that continues the trend for more emphasis on front side performance. Offering high-performance, race-inspired technique, the Nova’s oversized sidecut invites a wider range of capabilities than most other carving-specific skis. Highly capable on-piste, the Nova 14’s shape and profile allow it to feel comfortable in the bumps and trees without lacking knife-like edge grip and precision. While advanced level skiers will immediately feel at home, the quick turn initiation and level of stability can assist intermediates in moving to the next level skill-wise. With a short turn preference, these skis are ready to rip slalom-like carves.

Rossignol puts a lot of thought and sophistication into the skis. From a construction standpoint, we’re getting inspiration from the race department, with advanced technology and high-performance features. Starting with a poplar wood core, energy and stability is paired nicely right from the beginning. Reinforced by a titanal beam, the level of power underfoot is significantly enhanced, increasing edge grip, rebound, and energy through the length of the ski. The construction also features V-profile technology, which focuses on fine-tuning the flex to optimize each layer of material. This feature is especially noticeable when engaged in a turn as it boosts grip and precision from start to finish. Rounding out the sophisticated build of this ski, Rossignol uses Carbon Alloy Matrix reinforcements, which increases both torsional and longitudinal stiffness without adding much weight. Weighing in at 1800 grams in the 163 cm length, this ski offers the right amount of heft for power without feeling overbearing. There’s certainly a fair amount of power and stature in this well-built ski.
The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2026 Rossignol Nova 14Rossignol has a lot of skis in the mid-70's underfoot, and that’s no accident. It shows their priority in ski construction and shaping. Looking at the footprint, it’s squarely frontside, with a flat, directional tail and positive camber. What puts this ski into a more unique category is the oversized sidecut. Combining a deep carving ski sidecut with a mid-70s waist width allows for better maneuverability, power and control. While it prefers skiing on-piste, it is certainly not limited and does decently well in the bumps and packed out trees as a result. The wider tip width and tip rocker adds versatility for soft snow conditions, as well as smoother turn initiation. Generating a 12-meter turn radius in the 163 cm length, this ski angulates clean, round turns at more moderate speed, making it a highly useful tool for groomer performance. Though conditions did not provide, Tester Lauren Morton expressed “I wish I could have skied this on some firmer snow but seems like an awesome carving ski. If I had a multiple ski quiver, I would definitely add this.”
With a high level of quality and electricity, the Nova 14 is a high-end ski. Frontside skiers looking for an energetic, easy to use ski with ample power and precision will love the sophisticated build and high-performance nature of the Rossignol Nova 14. Offering great feedback and smooth consistency, from firm groomers to soft bumps, this ski is highly useful for everyday performance. It’s a bit stiff for intermediate skeirs but will serve advanced and expert skiers quite well.
