For 2027, the Head Kore 87 Ti W gets a graphics refresh but returns otherwise unchanged. The Kore 87 Ti W is a refreshing ski in this range, offering high-level performance with two sheets of metal and a wonderfully versatile all-mountain shape and style. As the narrowest of the Kore W series of skis, this is the most all-mountain oriented, even bordering on a wider front side. Thanks to a shorter turn radius, two sheets of metal, and a smooth and quiet character, these skis can handle all resort terrain and snow types save for the deepest of days. If you’re looking for a light, easy to turn ski that has a strong and damp character, this is a great place to be. This is a great option for progressing skiers who are looking to get more adventurous.

Head uses a lot of sophistication and engineering in the construction of these skis. Built with a blend of poplar and PET in the wood core, the Kore 87 Ti W has a light and energetic start to it. PET is made from recycled plastic, so while there’s some form of negativity surrounding the use of plastic in skis, it actually fares quite well at providing energy and keeping the environmental impact low. The poplar does a great job supporting that PET, but not as good as the two sheets of metal. These skis end up being quite strong and smooth, capable of clean carves and crud busting capacity. Tester Ashley Maxfiled notes that " This is a great ski for someone just getting into skiing everything. It felt super forgiving and will get you through everything you want. These skis are a little spit fire. They make your feel like you can conquer all the mountain has to offer."
The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2027 Head Kore 87 Ti WThe footprint of this ski makes it a fan favorite for mixing all sorts of daily snow and terrain variations. This Kore 87 Ti W has a very well-rounded all-mountain shape. By blending an 87 mm waist and a 14.6-meter turn radius in the 170 cm length, skiers will be able to handle the skis with ease. As the narrowest of the Kore skis, it does benefit from the least rocker and taper, creating more of an on-trail mentality. Tester Lauren Morton states that "This was a huge surprise because I have never really enjoyed heads skis before but even on the last run of the day this was so fun to ski. It felt really quick and swingy and also had what I would describe as grippy edges - but in a good way!"
While we talk a lot about the emerging adventurous skier, this can also be ideally suited for intermediate through advanced skiers. There is an expert component here, especially as the skis have two sheets of metal. That said, if you’re looking for an entry into metal in your skis, the Kore 87 Ti W is a great option. It combines strength, power, and easy turning better than many skis in this range. Great in bumps and with quick turns, these skis are a sweet choice for those that spend most of their time on-trail but still want all-mountain capabilities for more adventurous skiing. It's agile and composed—a rare combination in the ski world.
