Making its grand debut this season, the Armada ARW 100 introduces a brand-new ski to the series, blurring the line between park and all-mountain with updated technology and progressive construction. With the fun-loving, twin tip design and 100 mm waist width, from dedicated park skiers to all-mountain skiers, this ski appeals to a variety of applications. Freestyle-focused skiers now get the option of either the 94 or 100, replacing the previous 96, providing the option of a narrower, more park-focused ski and a soft-snow oriented ski that performs exceptionally well in the park as well. Built with extra sturdiness to withstand impacts and hard landings, the w3Dgewall technology is Armada’s new technology that drastically enhances the sidewalls while keeping the rest of the ski light and maneuverable. If you’re someone who loves a poppy, playful, creative ski that still holds its own as far as strength and durability, you will find your one ski quiver with the ARW 100.

Skiers who want a wider twin tip ski that excels in both the park and all mountain terrain.

2024 Armada Reliance 102 Ti Skis

| AVAILABLE SIZES | TURN RADIUS | SIDECUT | WEIGHT |
|---|---|---|---|
| 164, 172, 180 cm | 17.5 m @ 172 cm | 134 / 102 / 124 mm | 1,800 g @ 172 cm |
Overview:
A ski that we wouldn’t typically see from Armada, the Reliance 102 Ti is a powerful all-mountain carving ski with a freeride width and high-performance nature. Skiers who like to make fast, dynamic turns at high speeds will love the stability and damp feel of this ski, especially given how lightweight it is. This is a result of Armada’s unique approach to the construction, using a Caruba wood core as the foundation and adding articulated titanal banding to the forebody. Through this application, longitudinal slits in the metal laminate are positioned solely in the tips while the rest of the ski remains unencumbered. How this carries over to performance is noticeable when initiating a turn, requiring less effort and providing a smooth feel for such a strong ski. Once you are in the turn, the rest of the ski holds a firm grip and delivers power and precision regardless of conditions or terrain. Great for advanced to expert level skies who want a versatile, all mountain ski with enough width and personality for soft snow but with exceptional performance on hardpack.
Who it's For:
Strong skiers who value getting their ski up on edge and carving at speed. Those who want strong on-piste performance with maneuverable, energetic off-piste capabilities.

2024 Atomic Backland 98 W Skis

| 156, 164, 172 cm | 14.6 m @ 164 cm | 127.5 / 98 / 118 mm | 1,200 g @ 164 cm |
Overview:
For the Backland collection, we get the option of two waist widths, with the 98 W being the narrower of the two. This series introduces two really great skis to the touring scene, acting as hybrid resort/backcountry options for skiers looking for incredibly lightweight, maneuverable and versatile go-tos. Atomic did an incredible job with the construction here, focusing on ultra lightweight wood to enhance maneuverability and uphill capacity plus fiberglass and a vertical carbon insert to enhance the overall flex and stiffness with minimal added weight. While uphill efficiency is obviously important for a touring ski, making sure to balance it with strength and stability for downhill performance is just as important and Atomic did an excellent job with that. With a freeride rocker profile in the forebody and a directional shape in the tail, you get float and easy turn initiation with ideal edge grip. It’s truly hard to top the strength to weight ratio here.
Who it's For:
Skiers who want to spend equal amounts of time in the backcountry and resort and have their one ski that can do it all incredibly well.

Overview:
An exciting one for this category, the brand-new Blizzard Sheeva 10 is coming to us this season with an updated build and more freeride influence, landing its spot in the top tier of this width range. Blizzard added Trueblend wood to the core with this iteration, fine-tuning the overall flex pattern of the ski by precisely placing wood stringers of different densities throughout depending on where forgiveness and stiffness are needed. On top of that, we get Fluxform technology which places two separate pieces of titanal over the edges of the skis from tip to tail, leaving the tail and shovel unencumbered. This is where the performance really comes through, with incredible stability and edge grip when engaged in a turn balanced by playful maneuverability and energetic responsiveness from the center of the ski. An impressively well-balanced ski that delivers a drifty but powerful feel in soft snow and firmer conditions, the Sheeva 10 is sure to be seen in the wild this season.

| 154, 162, 170, 178 cm | 18 m @ 170 cm | 126 / 98 / 116 mm | 1,800 g @ 170 cm |
Overview:
It’s hard not to have a blast on the Dynastar E-Pro 99. Sure, that could be said about every single one of the skis in this category, but there is something so easily appealing about this one. A slightly more traditional shape with a highly versatile application, the E-Pro 99 has a great mix of characteristics that make skiing just about anything fun. The straighter sidecut and flat, squared off tail delivers strong, smooth on-piste performance while the moderate amount of taper and rocker allows this thing to float like an absolute champ. Combining the shape and profile with the construction, Dynastar’s sophisticated build utilizes poplar wood in the central spine and polyurethane on the sides, lending way to a quiet, but energetic feel. Where things get interesting is with the use of Titanal Rocket Frame laminate, which uses full-width metal underfoot and generously in the tail, with it tapering to a narrow point in the forebody. We like to call that a reverse mullet: party in the front, business in the back.
Who it's For:
Any skier who prioritizes versatility above all else. Someone who wants precision and high-speed carving capabilities with playful flotation for softer snow.

2024 K2 Mindbender 99 Ti W Skis

Overview:
Steady, sturdy and ready to charge, the Mindbender 99 Ti W sets the benchmark for powerful, high-performance skis in this category. Geared towards advanced to expert level skiers who want a hard-charging ski with a strong build, this ski is ready to power through just about any snow conditions with confidence and determination. Not for the faint of heart, it definitely takes some skill and leg strength to drive this ski but when on the right feet, the level of performance that can be achieved is tough to top. The driving force behind the powerful nature of the Mindbender 99 Ti is K2’s use of Titanal Y-Beam technology, which is positioned in a “Y” shape, with full width underfoot and through the tail and tapered along the edges in the forebody. This application provides incredible stability and power while leaving the tip less catchy and more freeride-esque. For shape, the longer tip and tail rocker encourage flotation and drifty turns while the full sidewalls and lack of taper keeps on-piste performance to the maximum. Worth considering the weight and power of this ski, but for advanced skiers who are ready for it, it’s a blast.

Strong skiers who value stability at speed and are ready to put in the work for the ultimate payoff.

Overview:
Falling into the touring side of the spectrum here, the K2 Wayback 98 W is a really great option for skiers who want an incredibly lightweight, uphill focused ski for backcountry excursions. With resort capabilities, we’re seeing a much more dedicated touring ski here and for those that spend the majority of their days summitting peaks and exploring new zones, this is the ski for you. While weight is an obvious characteristic here, there are some pretty impressive structural advancements going on that give this ski its high-performance nature. For starters, K2 uses their Titanal Touring technology which is a specific approach to the construction that places emphasis on lighter weight materials, including paulownia wood and carbon stringers, as well as metal underfoot. This is unique for a touring specific ski, for obvious reasons, and while it certainly dampens and adds stability, we don’t see a drastic increase in weight, with the 165 cm length weighing in at 1260 grams. The ideal build and overall approach to this ski puts it high up on the list for touring skis in the ~100 mm range.
Who it's For:
Touring enthusiasts who value a high-performance ceiling in an incredibly lightweight package.

With an all-mountain mentality and freeride personality, the Liberty Genesis 101 approaches all terrain with a fun, playful demeanor. Easily deceived by its outward disposition, the sophisticated build and powerful undertone can sneak up on you. While having a twin-tipped shaped ski with freestyle influence offers creativity and energetic performance, it can sometimes lack the level of strength and stiffness that invite more aggressive skiing. In this particular case, Liberty created some magic here by balancing out the more forgiving qualities through the use vertical metal technology which truly goes a long way in dampening and stabilizing the overall feel. In addition to Polyurethane sidewalls, carbon and fiberglass, we’re getting a strong but responsive and energetic build that lends itself to creative, all-mountain skiing with impressive capabilities on-piste.

Overview:
On the higher end of the performance spectrum, the Nordica Santa Ana 98 sets itself apart from the rest with its fine-tuned construction and advanced technology, delivering truly superior performance for strong skiers who want to attack the mountain with power and speed. From charging through crud and chop to laying trenches on groomers, no matter what the challenge may be, they are up for it. What makes the Santa Ana series so unique is Nordica’s use of terrain specific metal that is sized accordingly to each model. As the waist size increases, the amount of metal decreases, aligning appropriately with the specific terrain and conditions each model is designed for. At 98 mm underfoot, we’re leaning into the soft-snow oriented arena, which is backed by a progressive flex and freeride rocker making it just a blast in prime conditions. That said, the metal backbone counteracts the playfulness by providing an unbelievable amount of power and oomph, bringing the performance ceiling up. Want dynamic power and playful maneuverability all in one? This is your ski.

With significantly less metal than its narrower sisters, the forgiving flex and power rocker profile allows for effortless flotation and maneuverability, giving it a drifty, smooth feel. That said, it's impressive how well it transitions over to firmer snow, thanks to the use of carbon stringers and terrain specific metal laminates that keep it from feeling chattery or loose.
