DESCRIPTION

The 2026 Armada ARV 94 with Salomon Strive 14 GW Bindings continues its legacy as a go-to all-mountain freestyle twin, offering the versatility to stomp park landings and smear turns across every inch of the mountain. With its 94 mm waist and freestyle-focused shape, this setup is ready for everything from rail sessions to spontaneous side hits and soft snow exploration. We paired the ARV 94 with the Strive 14 because of this binding’s well known reputation for safety, reliability, and ease of use. Featuring an LDN toe piece that optimizes contact and response, these bindings integrate seamlessly with boots and skis, allowing for a natural flex and balanced stance, making them the perfect choice to pair with this ski.

Why we like it:

We’re drawn to the ARV 94 because it delivers the full freestyle experience without compromising on all-mountain performance. It’s light, energetic, and intuitive, perfect for riders who treat the entire resort like a terrain park.

Who it's for:

This ski is a strong match for intermediate to expert skiers who lean into a creative style and want a ski that can spin, press, and butter—but still hold its own on groomers and in varied snow.

Highlights:

Featuring a full Poplar Core reinforced with an Ash Binding Insert, the ARV 94 keeps things lively and poppy while offering a solid platform underfoot. The AR Freestyle Rocker profile combines rockered tips and tails with positive camber underfoot for smooth transitions, solid edge grip, and that signature Armada surfy feel. w3Dgewall sidewalls provide durability and consistent power transmission, while 2.5 Impact Edges and an S7 Base ensure resilience through repeated rail hits and hardpack landings. The ski’s flex—softer in the tip and stiffer in the tail—supports a playful yet dependable ride across terrain parks and soft-snow zones. The Strive 14 GW, with its lightweight build and low-profile chassis, delivers a smooth and responsive ride all day long. It remains nimble in deep snow and light on your feet as the day progresses. The LDN Toe Pieces offer a low stand height, optimizing power transfer and improving the connection to your skis. The Automatic Toe Adaption feature effortlessly adjusts to GripWalk boots without the need for manual adjustments. Additionally, the Snow Scrapers on the toe pieces effectively remove snow and ice, ensuring a secure fit that enhances both safety and performance for direct power transmission

Things to consider:

While the ARV 94 is incredibly fun in the park and on soft snow, it’s less confident on icy groomers and especially firm, chunky, or variable snow. For skiers focused on carving performance or high-speed dampness, a stiffer and more directional ski would be a better match.

Fit & sizing considerations:

This ski rides true to size, though riders focusing on rail work and quick rotations may prefer to size down slightly. For those looking to prioritize all-mountain use and softer snow capability, sizing up can offer extra support and float.

Thoughts
I'd say this ski belongs in the park or in the trees, but mostly park. You should ski it in the trees on your way to the park. It carves fine, but you can't really push it too hard. The twin tip makes it incredibly playful and creative.
I'd like to see a bit less taper and rocker to emphasize more of an all-mountain feel, especially at the mid-90's.
Overal Impression
This ski is super mobile and wicked agile. It goes exactly where you put it with no fight and no fuss. It feels like more of a true park ski with some all-mountain character rather than an all-mountain twin.
