2026 Fischer Nightstick Skiswith Comp J Boots and Poles

Young skiers starting to find their own style have a true twin tip in the Fischer Nightstick Jr. The symmetrical shape makes riding and landing switch feel natural, and the durable build stands up to the rails, boxes, and hard landings that come with learning park skiing. It's playful without being flimsy, which is what a junior freestyler needs while the tricks are still coming together. We selected to pair the Nightstick with the Rossignol Comp J Girl’s ski boots because of its comfort and reliable performance that it provides for beginner to lower intermediate skiers. Its soft flex, easy-to-use buckle system, and cozy liner, make these boots the ultimate match for these skis and skiers who need a reliable and user-friend boot that will help to improve their skill anywhere on the mountain.

Who it's for:

Young skiers developing a freestyle habit, comfortable enough on their edges to start riding switch and looking for features. It suits intermediates who spend more time in the park than on the trail map.

Things to consider:

Park-specific tuning means the ski gives up edge grip on firm groomers compared with an on-piste junior model. It isn't a soft-snow ski either, so powder days sit outside its remit.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Park skis are generally taken shorter than an all-mountain ski of the same size, because spins and presses come easier on a ski a kid can rotate. Sizing at or just under the skier's height is a sensible default.
