2026 Salomon Lux Jr Skiswith C5 Bindings

The Salomon Lux Jr is a lightweight junior ski designed to help young skiers build foundational skills with confidence and control. Its soft, forgiving flex and narrow shape make it easy to maneuver, while the included C5 binding system keeps the setup simple and secure.

Why we like it:

It makes learning to link turns feel natural and unintimidating, which is exactly what a junior ski should do.

Who it's for:

It is best suited for young beginner to intermediate skiers who are developing balance, control, and basic carving skills on groomed terrain.

Highlights:

A lightweight composite construction keeps the ski easy to handle and reduces fatigue for little legs. The narrow waist promotes quick edge engagement and helps young riders learn proper technique on firm snow from the get go. A forgiving flex pattern allows the ski to bend easily at lower speeds, encouraging smoother turn initiation and better control, and the lightweight C5 binding system is designed to provide appropriate retention and safety for junior skiers.

Things to consider:

The Lux Junior not intended for high speeds or aggressive terrain. As skills and strength increase, progressing skiers will eventually need a stiffer, more performance-oriented model.

Fit & sizing considerations:

It skis true to size with a very manageable feel due to its soft flex. Parents can choose a length appropriate for the child’s height and ability, with slightly shorter options offering easier maneuverability for newer skiers.
