The 2023 Dynastar E 4x4 5 is a frontside focused ski with a range of capabilities, factoring in all-mountain performance thanks to its slight tip rocker and 82 mm waist width. Rather than leaning towards a more race-oriented profile, this ski allows for maximum edge grip and precision while allowing the ability to venture off-trail and still reap the benefits. Built with a hybrid core of Paulownia/Polyurethane wood and Fibre Basalt, you get the on-snow feel of maneuverability and stiffness yet without the demanding weight. Dynastar takes it one step further by using a 3D construction that puts more emphasis on the central portion of the skis, and extends along the edges into the tips and tails while leaving the majority of the shovel and tail of the ski unencumbered by this additional material.

Sandwich full sidewall combined with camber underfoot increases direct contact with firmer conditions, allowing for clean, round turns across the fall line. Intermediate to advanced female skiers will love the versatility of this ski, with direct access to a smooth, stable ride that has the agility and playfulness for all-mountain adventure. Let the entire mountain be your playground with the Dynastar E 4x4 5, with unbeatable torsional rigidity and grip topped off by slight rocker in the tip for playful agility in variable conditions.
Alli Ruschp tested a pair of 164 and found them to be just right and skied true to size. Finding a lot to like with these skis, she scored 5’s out of 5 for stability, quickness, maneuverability, playfulness, versatility, and overall impression. For a narrower, frontside ski, it’s great to see it exceed expectations in the all-mountain-focused categories. Though her low scores were given for flotation, forgiveness, torsional stiffness, and edge hold, she still found her experience “like skiing on clouds. A dream ski that’s easy to turn, smooth, and playful. From start to finish, the turn is smooth and easy. Handles a variety of conditions, from soft snow all the way to ice. Holds on edge in the firm snow and is playful in the soft stuff. I was impressed by how this front-side ski handled with my strong skiing, didn’t mind being pushed or relaxed skiing.” For a ski like this and the number of different turn shapes it’s supposed to make, Alli makes it sound like this 82 can pretty much do it all.
For ultimate versatility and high performance, the Dynastar E 4x4 5 loves to be put to the test. With a range of capabilities for a frontside ski, it lands itself in a league of its own. Appealing to a wide range of skiers looking for an approachable ski with quick edge to edge and confidence-building attributes, there is a lot to love about this ski.
