The 2023 Kastle TX93 returns unchanged, and is still a fantastic choice for all-mountain ski tourers who value lightweight and high quality, all at the same time. That's not too much to ask, is it? Thanks to Kastle's never-ending search and quest for ski construction perfection, it didn't take long for the alpine touring skis to catch up in terms of ubiquity. As a result, the TX93 is a strong choice for backcountry enthusiasts who want something light, but that is also strong enough for more of a resort setting. Since they're designed and constructed in the European Alps, it makes sense that these skis would need to be able to wear multiple hats at the same time.

Built with a Paulownia wood core, the TX93 also boasts a carbon-fiberglass wound core, which is essentially a tight fiberglass sock that surrounds the Paulownia wood. In addition, two layers of triaxial fiberglass sandwich that sock/core, further boosting the stiffness of the ski. Amazingly, they do all of this and keep the weight of the ski to 1275 grams per ski in the 170 cm length. If you were to put a light weight tech binding on this ski, you'd be in really good shape for having a light and easy to use uphill setup.
Tip and tail rocker complete this package, with more of a rise in the tip, as most touring skis should have. The flatter tail is still catch-free, but it allows for greater skin contact with the snow as you ascend. Nobody likes drifting backwards on the skin track, and having that flatter overall profile means you get better grip from tip to tail. In that 170 cm length, the skis also generate a 15.1-meter turn radius, so when you do get to the top, you're sure to have a great time on the way down as well.
Light, fun, and easy to use, these skis will take you further, faster, and to deeper locales than you ever thought possible, and all of those things are very good things in the backcountry ski world. If you're looking to take your touring game to the next level, look no further than the Kastle TX93.
