Line’s Pandora 94 gets a bit of a graphics re-fresh for 2023, but remains the same versatile all-mountain performer that we’ve loved for a few years now. We often refer to the mid-90's range of skis as the best options for one-ski quivers, and the Pandora 94 takes that statement to heart. Starting with an Aspenlite core, the skis also benefit from the application of Line’s Carbon Magic Fingers. These stringers of carbon stiffen the ski and give it more energy and pop. For skiers who like to load up the ski with energy and feel it come back to them on the tail end of the turn, this type of construction is highly useful. In the 165, the skis come in at 1491 grams per ski, and that’s on the light side for sure. When that’s combined with a 14.5-meter turn radius, you get a lively ski that loves to come around in a carved turn. When rocker is added to the tips and tails, it makes the ski float better than the mid-90's width may let on, and that’s a positive surprise in our minds.

Alix Klein’s 165 felt short for her, and she had some lower scores to bestow upon the Pandora 94. 2’s dot her scorecard for overall impression, versatility, forgiveness, playfulness, and stability. One step up, the 3’s went for torsional stiffness, edge hold, quickness, maneuverability, and flotation. Alix notes that “This was a mismatched ski, the tip was jittery and shaky and the tail was stiff and only wanted to go straight. The ski wanted to pivot every turn, there was no getting it on edge and feeling the carve of the ski in the middle of the turn.” At such a light weight, it’s easy to imagine an aggressive skier like Alix pushing right through the sidecut.

Alli Ruschp noted that her 165 was true to size, and had some more generous and favorable scores and impressions versus Alix. Alli scored it 5’s out of 5 for playfulness, forgiveness, quickness, and maneuverability. A 4 for flotation is nice to see for a ski in this width, and we suspect the light weight and rocker profile have something to do with that as well. Alli calls it the “Perfect ski for a light weight lady or tween girl looking to conquer the mountain. At 94 mm underfoot, it can handle a little powder and its light weight construction is perfect for the trees and bumps. Easy to maneuver. Strong skiers will most likely overpower the ski, and not get the performance they need.” But, for the intended audience, this ski will strike a nice balance between versatility, performance, and approachability.

Skiers looking for a great all-mountain ski that they don’t have to work too hard to access the top end will love the Line Pandora 94. Thanks to the shape, profile, and construction of these great skis, intermediates have a lot to like in terms of versatility, snow feel, and all-around energy.
