If you’re looking for the ultimate in versatility, energy, and pop, the 2023 Scott Pure Free 90Ti Women’s skis should be at the top of the list. Thanks to the light weight, strong construction, and user-friendliness, the Free 90Ti W dances on the groomers, swivels through the trees, and mobs through powder. It’s this type of ski that is super-attractive for a wide variety of skier types.

Thanks to the lighter-weight construction featuring a poplar wood core and fiberglass laminates, the Pure Free 90Ti W also contains a titanal reinforcement laminate that is found mainly underfoot, extending slightly beyond the binding mount zone. This dampens and stabilizes the ski while increasing edge grip and confidence. At 90 mm underfoot in all sizes, the skis generate either a 15, 16, or 17-meter turn radius, so these things prefer to be on edge for sure. In the 160 cm length, they come in at 1580 grams per ski, allowing for a light and versatile feel with some touring capabilities as well. Slight tip and tail rocker make it more accessible to take in the deeper and softer snow, but this thing certainly excels in an all-mountain format rather than a strict groomer or powder ski.

Micheline Lemay skied the longest 168 cm length, and noted that “it felt a little long at first and then felt great for the spring-like and choppier conditions.” She gave a low score of 2 out of 5 for flotation, and average scores of 3 out of 5 for quickness, maneuverability, playfulness, and versatility. Her top marks of 4 out of 5 were given for overall impression, torsional stiffness, edge hold, forgiveness, and stability. It’s nice when a ski gets top scores for both forgiveness and stability, showing that the ski can be multiple things at the same time. Micheline states that the Scott Pure Free 90Ti W “felt like a GS ski—longer and stable, but felt fast and stable for the firm conditions”. The short radius, combined with the metal laminate and full-poplar wood core does make this ski feel smooth and strong despite the lighter weight.

The blend of all these characteristics gives the Pure Free 90Ti W a well-rounded feel that is accessible for a lot of different skiers and skier types. Thanks to the combination of poplar wood core and metal underfoot, skiers will have a great time getting this thing up on edge and riding it through the carves. When you get off-piste or in softer conditions, the shape and profile help get you through anything with ease and confidence. Intermediate and advanced skiers will love the snappiness and pop from the Scott Pure Free 90Ti W.
