The Atomic Bent 90 returns unchanged except for graphics for 2025, keeping the fun-loving and flexible ski firmly entrenched at the top of the 90mm twin tip segment. While the Bent 100 and Bent Chetler 120 get the updates for this upcoming year, it’s fair to say that it won’t be too long before we see them filter into the 90 and 110. Until then, the 90 continues the tradition of blending all-mountain capabilities with freestyle flexibility. It does it better than most, delivering lightweight performance to the feet of a large swath of skiers. Because of the sizing, ranging from 157 to 184, the ease of use, and the endless versatility, skiers all over the world can take advantage of the well-rounded and incredibly fun 2025 Atomic Bent 90.

Built quite simply, with a light poplar wood core, the Bent 90 is somewhat basic in its construction. There’s no frills here in terms of additive materials. They do most of their differentiating with how they shape the build, if that makes sense. Atomic uses duracap construction here, with full sidewalls underfoot and capped portions in the tips and tails. This puts more emphasis on the mid-body of the ski in terms of power while the ends are lighter and more mobile. Additionally, HRZN tech can factor in to both construction and shape, as they mill down the sides of the tips and tails to create more of a boat hull shape that can displace more snow without widening the ski. As a result, the light weight plays well with the shape to create a very floaty ski at 90 mm underfoot—there aren’t many others that can stack up to the Bent 90 when it comes to softer snow performance. At 1600 grams in the 175, this ski borders on very light.

The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 Atomic Bent 90

By using a profile consisting of 20% rocker in the tips, 10% in the tails, and 70% camber underfoot, the ski is more of a directional twin than anything else. Most skiers will see this shape and style and use it in a primarily non-park application. When you get on the Bent 90 in the bumps and trees, it all makes sense. The profile and shape are very amenable to different turn styles, from short, skidded turns on the groomers to quick and easy ones in the bumps and trees. With a 19-meter turn radius in the 175, this ski falls on the longer side of the spectrum in its class, and that works great for mixing soft snow, hard snow, freestyle, and versatility. Basically, it puts the turn shape in the skier's hands and allows them to make proper decisions about style and substance. This is true freedom of turn, with the agility of the ski standing out with the low swing weight and amenable ends. Tester Jeff Neagle notes that “The Bent 90 is a great ski. It's kind of a Swiss Army Knife in the sense that it can be so many different things for so many different skiers. Center mount it and ski it in the park or mount it traditionally and you've got an incredible mogul ski and just fantastic all-mountain option. It's very quick and agile in almost any scenario. Not quite as good in soft snow as the wider Bent skis, but still can hang when you get a bit of fresh snow on the ground. It's also exceptionally affordable these days.” Great points, Jeff!

Playful and responsive, it had me looking for the tightest squiggles in the trees and side hits around the resort.

Due to the versatility and available sizes, the Bent 90 is an awesome option for many skiers. If you have an adventurous spirit and enjoy taking the path less travelled, the Bent 90 should certainly be on the list. While there are better on-trail carvers out there that have better grip and stability, there aren’t many skis in this width that float as well or make as much sense on snow as the 2025 Atomic Bent 90.

I would size down, I feel like the tips were a little bit grabby at this length.

Thoughts
Groomers and all mountain. It can go in the woods and ski bumps but I felt like I wanted a little bit more stability for skiing in the woods.
I would add a little more weight to try and make it more stable.
Overal Impression
The ski is very light and twitchy.
