With a heftier feel and a fun-loving shape, this ski is a total blast in a variety of snow conditions and terrain. The 2026 Rossignol Sender Soul 102 is a great example of a wider-bodied all-mountain ski that is a great floater, fun turner, and all-around fun-loving ski that’ll fit the needs and wants of a wide range of skiers. The 102 has slightly more tail rocker to increase the freeride creativity, but it still has an awesomely energetic carving character that we all love. For those that are looking to mix the on-trail and the off, the Sender Soul 102 is a prime choice.

This ski is a carryover for 2026 in both construction and shape. Built with a poplar wood core for energy and agility, the skis have a lot going for them out of the gate. Rossignol incorporates a titanal beam to the center portion of the ski to dampen vibrations and keep the ski smooth and stable. We also get Air Tip technology that filters down through the years from the original Soul series, and their new take on the VAS vibration absorption system that is found in the shovel of the ski. This build isn’t too light, though, adding up to 2100 grams per ski in the 180—good enough for some power and heft but still light and agile due to the shape and profile. This is the blend that Rossignol banks on when designing a ski like Sender Soul 102. Tester Grant Wieler notes that “The ski is quite robust Which isn’t surprising considering the metal plate in there. Incredibly fun ski I wouldn’t classify it as playful, but it’s certainly responsive and forgiving. You can certainly push the envelope a little bit on this ski too, which surprised me in a good way!”

The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2026 Rossignol Sender Soul 102

The shape and profile of the ski leans more to aggressive freeride. One of the interesting things about this ski is the size range. We get skis spanning from 156 to 188, opening a large market for these mid-fat floaters. The sidecut of 136/102/126 mm creates a 16-meter turn radius in the 180 which is on the shorter side. This creates that fun-loving and energetic feel that many skiers enjoy. Even though there’s some weight, there’s still agility and mobility. The tail rocker increase is the most notable aspect, as these skis get some inspiration from the wider Sender Free 110 and 118 in terms of tail rise. It’s still not that dramatic, nor is it rounded—the squared shape still keeps the ski in check when finishing carved turns. Jameson Halnon states that “I really liked this ski right away. I wanted to do a lot more laps in as much variety as possible. I was surprised how confident I felt in a fast steep turn in looser snow.”

I really liked this ski right away. This feels like it could be a “one ski to rule them all” for those who can really only have a one ski quiver.
Danny Satterthwaite

This is a heavier-duty ski than some skiers may expect. Coupled with the access of the shorter length, these skis can punch either above or below their class with ease. Experts who are looking for a longer ski in the 188 that can still be amenable to shorter turns and more technical terrain will also enjoy this 102. By blurring the lines between all-mountain and freeride, the Sender Soul 102 is going to be an all-encompassing ski for a variety of skiers and skier styles. It smashes through crud and chop with ease and provides excellent carving performance for a ski of this width.

Thoughts
This feels like it could be a “one ski to rule them all” for those who can really only have a one ski quiver. That’s to say it was playful, wide enough for powder, turned well and was very stable. I’d have to test on firmer/icy terrain, but generally speaking feels like an east coast ski.
No changes.
