How well it held an edge and quick it would turn were my first impressions.

Big storm days. Skis have tons of float.

Advanced. The ski wants to have input.

Felt just right. Generally a long length for me, but copious rocker make it ski a tad shorter than stated length.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Damp and strong, yet holds its own underfoot and in carves. Encourages speed and fun, loves to swing sideways and trench carves through crud. Has a longer turn radius and skis like it.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

Open bowls, powder, manky groomers. Lots of tail rocker let you be creative here, but it prefers speed and open zones from what I can tell.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Advanced and up. This thing is heavy and strong, and needs to be driven at all times.

Anything else you want to tell us about your experience on these skis?

A surprise from Fischer here. Floaty, smeary, but a willing turner as well. I hope the Nothing finds its way to many a freeride enthusiast that wants a long turn radius bruiser that will let them get weird, as well.

Would describe myself as a freecarver (Freeride skier at heart with a love for carving). Any excuse to go drops, cliffs, jumps, spins, etc., I will take. But also very much enjoy pure carving on skis that many would consider far too wide to carve on.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Super playful and fun freeride ski! Easy to put sideways and slash but still had enough guts to send it straight down the fall line. They don't really pull you into a turn, so it likes to be slashy and surfy. It's like a looser Blank but not as crisp. I was on a fairly short length for my height and weight, so I bet that my feedback would be different on one of the longer lengths.

Pure freeride terrain with powder.

Skied at Stowe on a nice soft, packed powder day. No real powder to speak of, but still pretty good conditions.

Did this length feel short, long, or just right? Would you recommend sizing up or down, or does it ski "true to size?" Would you choose this length for yourself?

For most purposes this feels like the proper length. For bigger zones and mountains I could see going to the 196.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

The Nothing is a wide bodied freeride ski that falls on the more directional side of the spectrum. It operates well in this regard and basically feels like a Ranger 112. Nothing really stands out about this ski other than it's ability to be fun, shifty, creative, and predictable.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

This is more of a powder ski than anything else. We were able to carve some clean turns on it, but it's clear that on-trail skiing is not its strong suit.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Due to the width this is more of an expert level ski than anything else. You can be an advanced skier and enjoy it but it's pretty wide.

What's your first impression of this ski? How did it feel?

Really fun! Fischer isn't saying much about this ski, but it's a very well-rounded freeride/powder ski. Good float, good shape for drifty and slashy turns. Twin tip design and definitely has some freestyle influence. Skis switch really well and overall feels very balanced for a freeride ski. Not too light, not too heavy, just a good feel overall. Not exceptionally powerful, but a lot more stable at speed than lighter weight skis in its category. Construction feels relatively similar to Rangers. Kind of like if you took the 108 and made it a bit softer and a twin tip.

For what type of terrain would you recommend this ski? Why does it perform well in that terrain?

It's definitely best in soft snow. It did ok on firmer, chalky snow, but the shape and overall feel isn't going to be the most confidence inspiring when it's firm. Playful, rolling freeride terrain with soft snow would be the ideal scenario, in my opinion. Wind lips, drops, natural hits, that's where this ski really shines.

What's the appropriate ability level and/or style for this ski? Why is it appropriate for that type of skier?

Just because of its size, it's best for an advanced or expert skier. If you're looking for your first powder ski and you don't have much experience, it could work, but realistically, it's best for established freeriders.

I have mixed feelings about the naming theory and keeping the details quiet, but that's ok!
