The 2027 Head Kore 99 Ti W gets a graphic refresh for this year but returns otherwise unchanged. There aren’t a whole lot of women’s skis out there that feature this level of construction and style, putting the well-rounded Kore 99 Ti W in a rare and unique category in the all-mountain world. There’s a lot that can be said about skis in this width range and how they work so well in various conditions and terrain. The idea is that the Kore 99 is happy both on trail and off, allowing skiers to get a best of both worlds type of scenario. With strong camber for good energy and a bunch of metal for damping, these skis can be both zippy and strong at the same time.

Head brings a good deal of power and performance to the construction of the ski. This version uses poplar and PET (recycled plastic) to power the ski’s energy. Plastic can certainly get a bad reputation when it comes to being utilized in skis, but companies have shown that it actually provides a nice and smooth feel while reducing environmental impacts. We also get two sheets of metal that end just below the tips and above the tails as well as a graphene strip for energy. Its graphene/carbon/glass construction gives it a lively, responsive character allowing you to initiate turns easily, and instantly react to direction changes. It handles different turn shapes predictably and stays stable at speed, while still feeling lively and responsive.”

Head's footprint that they use in these skis can best be described as "useful." At 99 mm underfoot, the Kore 99 Ti W splits the difference between all-mountain and freeride. As the Kore series of skis gets wider, we see more rocker and taper, as the narrower ones are more traditional in nature. As one of the mid-widths in the Kore line, the 99 has an even mix of both. With measurements of 132/99/121 and a 15.6-meter turn radius in the 170, these skis blur the lines between firm and soft snow performance. The metal makes it steady and damp while the rocker allows for more playful and easy skiing. Tester Kristi Brown Lovell states that "The Kore 99ti is a great ex racer ski who still enjoys the thrill of working hard laying tracks and being on edge at high speeds."

Most of our testers note that these are high-performance skis for sure. They are suitable for advanced and expert skiers mainly but also have an intermediate application if that skier is looking to improve and has more of an aggressive mindset.
