Women’s Freeride
Ladies looking to push the bounds of playfulness and flotation in their skis should mainly stick to this category. Freeride skis are built and shaped to handle the deepest snow out there, and while there's moderate variance in the shaping and construction, most of these skis are meant to be used in some form of softer snow. Within the Freeride category, you may read or hear about directional skis, and if a ski falls into this sub-category, that basically means that the ski has a flatter tail and/or a stiffer and heavier build. Twin tips and skis with dramatic rocker typically do not fall into the directional realm. Either way you choose to use these skis, Freeride equates to powder performance, so if you are in search of the deep stuff, whether human-powered or not, you’ll likely find your ski here.
