As the narrowest of the QST line, the Salomon Lux 92 is designed for versatile all mountain performance in a lightweight, intuitive package. While the wider models in the series lean further into the soft snow arena, the Lux 92 focuses more on on-piste strengths while remaining highly capable off-piste. A strong carver and highly responsive, this ski offers predictability and ease of use for progressing intermediates looking to take their skillset to the next level. Since most of us spend our time on groomers, it makes a lot of sense to have a ski that inspires confidence and builds technique in an on-trail capacity. Since it is so agile and maneuverable, with a touch of freeride influence, taking it into the bumps and trees feels just as natural. With a proven shape and high-quality build, the Lux 92 has a lot to offer to a wide audience of skiers.

Featuring the signature QST build, we start with a full poplar wood core, which offers snappy energy and solid stability for a well-balanced feel. Progressing from there, Salomon adds their C/FX blend in order to boost the flex of the ski from tip to tail. Made up of carbon and flax material, this mix drastically enhances the construction by stiffening the ski while simultaneously increasing the level of energy. Most noticeable when engaging in your next turn, the carbon and flax fibers provide a boost of energy, making it easy to load up power and pop. Another construction element that has gained fame from the QST line is Salomon’s double sidewall technology. Looking at the ski, at first glance, it's hard not to notice the generous amount of early taper, which ultimately shortens the effective edge quite dramatically. This is where this technology comes into play by enforcing the midsection of the ski with thicker, stiffer sidewall material. This provides incredible edge grip and overall carving capabilities, which you wouldn’t expect given the shape and profile. As a testament to its versatile nature, Tester Bryce Zicarelli commented, “I'd feel comfortable taking this ski anywhere. With its easy turning, playful all-mountain design, and flotation I'd be happy with the Lux on a fast groomer day, through crud and death cookies, or on a woodsy adventure.”
The Rocker / Camber / Rocker profile of the 2025 Salomon QST Lux 92The shape has a lot to do with its well-rounded nature, with a decent amount of camber combined with a freeride rocker shape. In the 160 cm length, we get 18% rocker in the tip with 12% in the tail. Providing enough flotation for an all-mountain ski, with the double sidewall technology and camber profile, you don’t sacrifice any groomer performance. The 13-meter turn radius is awesome for a ski with such deep rocker lines, allowing the skier to access a variety of turn shapes and styles. The best part about this ski is how intuitive it feels. Depending on what type of skiing you want to do, this ski follows your lead and makes for an incredibly enjoyable, easy-going experience.
If you are an intermediate skier and are unsure about what ski to choose for casual groomer cruising and off-piste exploration, the Lux 92 is a no-brainer. Extremely versatile for all-mountain access, the level of accessibility and friendliness provides skiers with the ability to venture around in different types of terrain and conditions with confidence and ease.
