2027 Dynastar M-Pro 92 W

For 2027, the Dynastar M-Pro 92 W gets a graphic update but returns structurally unchanged. Holding its ground in the all-mountain category, the M-Pro 92 W offers a versatile waist width and high-performance build, combining playful maneuverability with powerful stability. Dynatar is able to blur some lines here, as these skis have notes from the front side, all-mountain, and freeride divisions that make this a highly useful ski for advanced and expert skiers.

The construction of the skis is quite sophisticated. Using three different wood layers in a multi-dimensional format, the central sections are joined together through force rather than an adhesive. This not only provides instant feedback but keeps the use of chemicals to a minimum, which is always a benefit. Polyurethane strips are placed on the sides of the core, keeping the ski light and agile while providing exceptional dampening qualities. The M-Pro 92 W takes on a more energetic, maneuverable feel from tip to tail due to their H-Shaped metal laminate focusing more on the edges of the ski and less in the center; it delivers great edge grip without feeling overly demanding. Tester Angela Mowbray states that " The Dynastar M-Pro 92W would make most skiers feel like a hero on the snow. This is a wide groomer ski first and then it works well in softer snow and crud second. It feels like it wants to be on edge and in a carved turn more often than not so smearing it or drifting it takes quite a bit of work. Great groomer ski, though." At 1700 g/ski int he 170 cm length, these skis have enough weight and flex to make them stand out in the stability department.

The shape and profile of these skis blends carving and floating quite seamlessly. This ski has a very round and circular shape and profile from tip to tail, with much more mobility out of the tail and greater turn initiation in the shovel. This is due to the more dramatic sidecut dimensions. In the 170 cm length, the measurements are 127/93/117 mm. In the tail, we see less of a strictly directional profile and more rocker, which allows the skier to release from the tail with greater ease and more energy. The resulting 16-meter turn radius is a lot of fun to play with as it's not overly demanding to find. Tester E.V. Hamilton notes: "My first impression was how stable and confidence-inspiring the Dynastar M-Pro 92 W felt. It came across as a stronger, more planted ski that provided noticeably better control and composure at speed. While it requires slightly more effort to initiate turns, the added stability and predictability are a worthwhile tradeoff."

We talk a lot about skis in the mid-90's as being highly useful and efficient when it comes to blurring lines in the all-mountain category. It's planted enough to make fun and exciting carved turns while having plenty of rocker and taper to be floaty and mobile in the trees and bumps. This ski checks a ton of boxes for a lot of skiers and can easily be a one and only ski for most zones, terrain, and conditions.
